We ship physical copies of Colombian Emeralds / Esmeraldas de Colombia from Lyon, France. All orders are shipped with tracking.

Processing times

  • Standard processing: 1–2 business days after payment confirmation.

  • Pre-orders: dispatch on or after the announced release date.

  • Business days exclude weekends and French public holidays.

Shipping methods & carriers

  • France & Monaco: La Poste / Colissimo (tracked).

  • EU & International: La Poste / Colissimo with partner carriers in destination countries (tracked).

  • A tracking link is emailed as soon as your order is marked Shipped.

Shipping zones, rates, and delivery estimates

  • France & Monaco (domestic):  2–5 business days.

  • European Union (outside France): rate shown at checkout. Typical transit: 3–5 business days.

  • United Kingdom, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia & other destinations: rate shown at checkout. Typical transit: 5–7 business days, depending on destination and customs.

Notes
• We currently limit orders to 4 copies per purchase.
• French Overseas Territories (COM) are shipped on international terms; transit can be longer.
• Delivery times are estimates provided by carriers and may vary due to customs, weather, or peak periods.

Duties, taxes, and import fees

  • France/Monaco: French VAT applies to books (5.5%) and is included in your price.

  • Outside France/Monaco: local taxes, duties, and customs clearance fees (if any) are payable by the recipient and are not collected at checkout. Your parcel may be held by customs until these are settled.

Addresses, changes, and failed deliveries

  • Please review your shipping address carefully at checkout.

  • Address changes are only possible before your order is fulfilled. Once shipped, we cannot reroute parcels.

  • If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect/undeliverable address or failure to collect, we can:

    • reship (additional postage will apply), or

    • refund the item price minus original shipping costs once the book is received back in good condition.

Order tracking & delivery issues

  • Your tracking link is included in the shipping email and available in My Account → Tracking.

  • If tracking shows “delivered” but you cannot locate the parcel, please:

    1. check with household members and neighbors;

    2. check your mailbox and any safe place/concierge;

    3. contact the local carrier with your tracking number; then

    4. email us at orders@colombianemeraldbook.com with your order number and the steps already taken.

  • Damaged parcel on arrival? Please send photos of the packaging and the book within 48 hours of delivery so we can assist.

Pickup & P.O. Boxes

Home delivery is the default. Some destinations may support pickup points or P.O. Boxes depending on the carrier’s rules; availability will appear at checkout if supported.
